What Vjon is

VJON is an educational research reader for future medicine, available on iPhone and Android. Core research reading does not require an account or health questionnaire. Optional legacy account and experimental estimate features remain separate. VJON is not a medical service.

Research reading and local preferences

Your optional research-reader birth month and year, language, saved articles, read state and research watchlist are stored on your device. These local reading preferences are separate from any answers you choose to submit in the optional legacy questionnaire.

Our server hosts the public research feed. The app sends first-party usage events over HTTPS, including a persistent random identifier, event name, app version, platform and limited reading-event properties such as study IDs and revisions. Reading events do not include your birth month/year or health questionnaire answers. Standard server technical logs may also be processed.

Opening an original source takes you to an external publisher or regulator. Their own privacy policies apply on those websites.

What we collect

If you choose to use the separate legacy questionnaire, your submitted answers may include health-related information such as sleep, activity, diet, alcohol and nicotine use, diagnosed conditions and family history.

Your email address, if you give it to us or enter it at checkout.

If you sign in with Apple or Google: your name and email address as they provide them (Apple lets you hide your email), and your Google profile picture.

If you sign in with an email code: your email address. The code itself is never stored, only a one-way fingerprint of it, and it expires after 10 minutes.

Payment confirmation from Stripe on the web, or from Apple and Google (through our purchase processor RevenueCat) in our apps. We never receive or store your card number.

Basic usage events (for example, which step of the test you reached) and standard technical logs.

How we use it

To calculate your results and generate your report.

To save your progress and let you access your results and reports.

To process payments and handle refunds.

To understand, in aggregate, how the product is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your answers for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run Vjon: Stripe (web payments), Apple and Google (sign-in and app store purchases), RevenueCat (app purchase verification), Resend (sending sign-in code emails) and our hosting provider. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: one keeps you signed in, one remembers the assessment you started in this browser, and one secures the sign-in process. We do not use advertising cookies. Our apps store a sign-in token in your device's secure storage instead of cookies.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time: in the app under Account → Delete account, or on the web under Account. This permanently deletes your account, assessments and reports, and revokes Sign in with Apple.

Signed in, you can download a copy of your data from your account page at any time, or sign out on all devices. You can also ask for a copy of your data, or for deletion, by emailing admin@warh.com. Payment records are retained by our payment providers (Stripe, Apple, Google) as the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or California law — you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Health-related information is sensitive; we process it because you explicitly choose to provide it for this purpose. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and access to our systems is restricted.

Age

Vjon is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
